1.1.0 Update: The Perfectionist Update


Watching people play the game during the jam, I realized there were some pretty major bugs and a few design decisions that made the game a little bit rougher around the edges than I was comfortable with.

So, I spent the last two days tightening nuts and bolts, adding a little more content and features, and polishing the heck out of everything. The new and improved version is 1.1.0, but I left the original submission up for posterity's sake.

Changelog:

- Slowed down Don's attacks by a little bit, giving the player enough time to actually register them.

- Added another attack pattern for Meg, so she isn't easier than Onyx.

- Added a shorter dialogue interaction for when you talk to a character subsequent times, because it was annoying to lose and have to skip through.

- Adjusted platform positions in Meg's section for more cohesion and to fix the parts of screens that were overflowing into others.

- Added a "no checkpoints" challenge that can be completed to turn on the star on the main menu.

- Reworked camera triggers for screens so they trigger when they should.

- Updated in-game UI for better clarity and also accounted for clicking the "place checkpoint" button so you won't jump when using it.

- Added a graphic to the win screen so it's more cohesive.

- Turned off debug mode by default, but I left a secret button in there to turn it back on.

- Added "skip fight" command to debug mode.

- You can now pause the game with "Escape."

- Probably a bunch of other little things, all designed to make the game feel nice and polished.
